The Department of Marathi Language & Literature Started in June 1960.This Department has the Glories tradition of merit and research. It has granted P.G. Course since 1972-73 and also has a sanctioned Research centre, where 23 students awarded PhD Degree and 10 more are working leading to Ph. D. There is a great tradition of meritorious students. 25 students yet listed in merit.
The Department has a ———- tradition of research-all the faculty members are engaged in research work-Result of this, 92 Books & Hundreds of articles have published in reputed journals. The faculty members honored as an Ideal Teacher and best Writer by Gov. Maharashtra & awarded D.lit by International University California.
